Nest
The stem of this pendant light is made from 1/4 inch round stock steel forged loose and twisting. The nest that encompasses the bulb is a tangle of abaca paper coils, inspired by wild grapevine, pea plant tendrils and strangler figs. Though sheets of paper are light and easily torn these coils are hard and strong. Flexibility, adaptability, resilience and beauty in the natural world are reflected in this functional art piece.
